Black Rock Night Dive - August 30th

Find a Sea Star in the darkness and focus despite strong current

Sea Urchin sways back and forth while I hold on for a photo

White Spotted Damsel (Alo'ilo'i) beyond the current driven sand particles

We like to call it a Domino Damsel

Unknown and over exposed eel travels to a new hiding spot

Could be a yellowhead moray, though green with the light settings

She really wants to get away from me and my flash

Definately a yellowhead moray eel (Puhi-ou)

Striped Squirrelfish (Ala Ihi) looking for nuts?

Hotrod Fish with gill flames (orange shoulder tang)

Hawaiian Green Turtle looks for its bed

There it is, good night

Turn the light out when you leave

Blue Boxfish (Moa) is momentarily blinded

Another Striped Squirrelfish (Ala Ihi)

Whitespotted Puffer hovers over the bottom

Another yellowhead moray eel looks for better hiding

Never realized how exposed he is without the flash

Brown Sea Star clings to the sand like we will when we try to leave the water
