Galveston Beach Condo - August 4-7, 2012


Ahma & the girls start a week's vacation at Silverleaf

Bayside resort accomodations just west of Jamaica Beach

Room 182 family room of the double suite

Nena's room could serve as a smaller one room stay

The room has it's own smaller kitchen

The master suite has a couch instead of a refrigerator

But it also has the master bathroom

Alex likes the large bathtub with columns

The larger suite has a bigger kitchen & dining area

Erin puts on her swimsuit and is ready to hit the water

Balcony view looks further west toward Terramar Beach

Bayside land is mostly unimproved

Distant houses line FM3005/San Luis Pass Road

I hope that is not a West Nile Virus mosquito

Bust out the telephoto lens on the patio

There is some development on the Bayside of the island

And cows even graze on the bayside grasses between Jamaica Beach and Terramar Beach

Girls hit the kiddie pool at the front of the resort

Alex gets used to the chlorine in the water

No sister, I don't need a floatie in one foot of water

Today starts seven straight days of water fun!

Erin shows off her water ready ponytail

Alex has her ponytail in place as well

Ahma watches the girls while momma takes photos

Pool in the evening and beach in the morning

The girls make it to the beach on Monday morning

Erin's already making friends & showing off her discoveries

I hope that is a seashell I am stepping on!

Alex and Ahma come in from the waves

Momma has a camera, lets look for shells

You look over there and I'll look over here

Hey, I might have found something

Here is something in four inches of water

Let's go play in the sand by momma & ahma

I am going to make the perfect sand castle!

Alex adds to the pile with wet gulf sand

Hi momma, I just love to play in the sand!

Alex brings more mud while Erin looks for shells

Alex precisely adds her mud to the stack

Erin collects pretty shells to decorate the castle

Ahma has fun watching her granddaughters play

Ahma joins in and starts excavating a moat

Dig a nice hole to make a taller castle

Wow, Ahma dug out a pretty big hole

It is big enough for me to sit in and pose

The three castle builders clean up in the surf
