VOCC Sidewalk & Bike Trail - February 15, 2015

Check out the new sidewalk/bike trail the city is installing

Concrete is complete in the center of the neighborhood greenspace

Scenic views along the trail with comfortable seating to enjoy it

Need to cover the edges of the sidewalk with dirt and plant grass

Alex gives her new scooter a try but must also walk on the pristine path

The old trail is stacked and waiting for disposal

Alex climbs on the large motor vehicle prevention pole

Erin is loving the new sidewalk straight to the pool

Land is cleared but frames are needed before more concrete is poured

The old sidewalk to the pool has been moved and stacked

Old sidewalk path has been cleared & smoothed, ready for new framing

But now the sidewalk goes past our house, not just the parking lot

Pool and Cabana House will look even nicer with the new sidewalk

New sidewalk cleared as far as the old sidewalk existed

Girls are ready to head back toward the playground

Girls leave the street, round the corner and continue on

Seat with a view is still available 15 minutes later, amazing!

City will also install benches along the path

Cross the street and head toward the playground

Girls park their transportation and hit the playground

The sidewalk continues on toward the back of the neighborhood

Erin takes her bike to check out the new trail

She goes to the end and then returns, as viewed from the playground top

And she continues on, her bicycle loving the new, pristine walkway

Alex loves that the pathway links up the playground and swimming pool

The front of the neighborhood still needs a few trees removed to proceed
