Seabrook Visit - November 11th, 2017

Arrive at Seabrook's Camp Casa Mare at 7:45am

The sunrise lights up the rocky shoreline in northern Seabrook

Erin's troop is at Camp Casa Mare to earn a Mystery Workshop badge by working together to gather clues to solve a mystery

Zoom in on the shoreline at the flag pole and boat ramp with the nice house in the background

A long fishing pier parallels the Highway 146 bridge to Kemah in the southern background

Nice large houses on both sides of the camp

Another northbound view from the flag pole and boat ramp

Looking back at the sunrise pier

Boatramp with Camp Casa Mare buildings in the background

Multiple troops are arriving to attend the Mystery Workshop

Kaitlyn, Emilia and Erin are waiting on the rest of their troop

Erin shows off her gymnastic moves

Parents and girls wait outside the Camp Auditorium

The troop leaders arrive and the workshop will start soon

Just need Shaggy and Scoobs to solve the mystery in the next 3 hours

Check out the businesses that will be lost next year when Hi-146 expands

Laredo's, one of 3 mexican restaurants when we moved to Fwood in 1974

Locked and Loaded Arms will be relocating elsewhere as well next year

The only remaining mainland Mario's will continue on elsewhere

Tookie's Restaurant will also relocate away from Hi-146

Nobody wants to miss out on big onion rings and squealers!

Neptune Subs will close after 40 years at this location

Not much time left to enjoy the Bald Monday specials

Interesting car parked nearby Neptune Subs so stop for a closer look

It is a 1954 Kaiser Manhattan!

Henry Kaiser bought the auto assets of Graham-Paige in 1947

Kaiser passenger cars were built from 1947-1955

This Kaiser may have made the trip from Washington in the last couple years!

Washington license plate tags expired in June 2016

And, of course . . . Happy Veterans Day to all veterans including those in our immediate family, and the 99th anniversary of the end of the first World War
