Visit the 1894 Karnes County Courthouse in Karnes City

Arched entry with stained glass & columns on either side of locked doors

The third Karnes County Courthouse was completed in 1895

Helena didn't buy a RR depot, Karnes City did & claimed the county seat

Texas Independence Centennial stone put in place in 1936

County Namesake stormed Bexar, fought at San Jacinto & was a Texas Ranger

Recently restored German WWI trophy gun yet to be identified

Look up at the cylindrical corner towers and central clock tower

Its a 7.7cm Imperial German Feldkanone 16 field gun first built in 1896

Get close to the arched doorway and columns of the Calvert Street entrance

Cross Calvert Street to capture the full south side with clock tower

Walk around to the west side to see the central Mansard tower

Northwest side for view of both sides clocks between the outer towers

Restored cornerstone was originally laid by the Masons in 1884
