48 county residents are listed who died fighting in WWI

10 times more died fighting in WWII including Willie Evil

30 county residents listed who died fighting in Korea over 3 years

51 county residents listed who died fighting in Vietnam

First anglos arrived 1856 & named the county for indians they removed

The Father of Wichita Falls brought the railroad here & served as judge

TX Gov. Allred (1935-39) began his career at this very courthouse

Farris broke many barriers and served her county and state proudly
