KSC Visitor Center Astronaut HOF Launch Pads:   Mercury   -   Gemini   -   Apollo

Launch Complex 14 was built for Atlas launches and supported four manned missions, including the first launch of an American into orbit, John Glenn aboard Friendship 7, on February 20, 1962

John Glenn was the first American to travel around the planet

Under the Mercury Monument slab is a time capsule to be opened in 2464.

Cooper and Faith 7 were launched May 15, 1963
