Day at Sea traveling from Curacao to Columbia on Saturday, November 3rd

Enjoy fine dining among other activities today

Arrive at the Columbian city of Cartagena on Sunday, November 4th, a 470 mile trip from Curacao

Cruise ship terminal and container ship terminal are side by side

Cartagena does much container business

Something has to pay for the pretty whie skyscrapers around here

17th century convent on the top of Mount Popa off in the distance

Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of mariners, welcomes weary sailors home

Depart the ship but decline a paid excursion

Make note of which ship we arrived on and where we are currently located

Lets walk into town and see what we can see nearby

Decide to visit Cartagena's aviary and parrot emporium

This must be the emporium because here are some parrots

An anteater up high looking for big and meaty tree ants

A peacock spreads if foliage to show off . . . or warn us to back off?

The white peacock is much more shy

Strange and colorful Guianan Cock-of-the-rock bird

You're not in the caribbean if you don't see flamingos

Black-necked stilts and ducks lounge in the rocks

Back to the ship for cloudy sunset before sailing north
