Hurricane Harvey - August 27th, 2017

The rain is coming down at 4 in/hr for three hours now

The water is falling faster than the streets can drain

Dad is equally concerned and he takes a photo at 2am as well

Saturday morning, the street and homes along Castlewood are flooded

The end of the street was not a good place to park your car

Even with three more days of rain, this will be the high water mark

Meanwhile on Alderwood at Bay Area Blvd, looking upon Countryside Park, the water has risen mightily

The roadway will be blocked for the next five days with high water

Park at the Junior High and walk down Palomino Lane

The parking lot at Clear Springs High School is not flooded despite being a quarter mile from Clear Creek

Only high vehicles could drive down to the High School

See, I told you, only high vehicles can drive down here

The High School is staying high and dry thus far, lets hope it survives three more days of rain

Alex enjoys walking in the rain and high water on our proximity check

Neighborhood behind ours floods on Sunday morning

View of I-45 north of FM-518 via TranStar Cameras, totally flooded

View of 209 Castlewood with at least 3 feet of water inside

Cowart's Creek has widened out to Cedarwood and the City Pool

Two feet of water at Emerald and Castlewood

Someone is going to lose some ball bearings in the next week

The only way to visit with neighbors until next Thursday

Check out Emerald while paddling down to Lexington

Back in League City, the water drains once the rain stops

Borrowed Facebook photos of FM-2351 looking east past FM-518

Looking north up FM-518 from FM-2351

Drone Video stills over FM-2351 looking west at the Blackhawk intersection

The gas station is high & dry but your car won't make it to the car wash

Looking over Frankie Carter Randolph Park and the Forests of Fwood

180° turn to look east down FM-2351 toward Clear Brook High School

Youtube Video stills of a boatride up FM-2351 toward FM-518

From Blackhawk, past Melody Lane and now approaching Pecan Drive

The 2351/518 Kroger will not have milk and eggs later in the week

The just rebuilt Wendy's will have to be rebuilt again

Pastor Thom checks out Peace Lutheran, Fairmont at Space Center

Some businesses along Fairmont Pkwy have flooded and some have not

View of Spencer Highway and Trebor Street in Pasadena

Pasadena's famous drop off and float away laundry service!

Rebecca visits Stevenson Park and takes a panara from Friendswood Drive to the Chamber of Commerce Building

Another panarama of the park bathroom, pavillion, playground and tennis courts

Erin enjoyed the bungee jump here only six weeks ago

Fun water slide right into the ecoli water!

Gimmie a Bark will need much more in the coming weeks

View of Airline Drive in Polly Ranch, hit hard once again

Back to Bay Area Blvd at Countryside Park where volunteers are busily rescueing stranded residents

The park and bridge are completely submerged and will be until next Friday

Odd that oak trees are growing in the middle of a lake

Be advised that softball has rained out tonight

The park was designed to capture all the flood water and it did its best but there was just too much!

Resident congregate in the high crown of the roadway

Erin uses the new concrete wall just installed the last 4 months

Erin is happy to get more use out of these water proofboots

Flatboats rescue residents out of the Autumn Lakes subdivision

It is hard to launch your boat on a flooded street

The term "future" is even more distant now

Take FM-518 just south of FM-528 at the Eagle Lakes Subdivision where Chigger Creek has covered the roadway

A dually braves the high water and pushes a foot high wake . . .

. . . Into the flooded houses to the right and up to my waist

Eagle Lakes and Hope Lutheran have high water around and within

Erin's Kindergarten teacher lives just beyond on Lakeview Cir.

Hope Lutheran may have been built high enough to remain dry

The big trucks can make it but not so much for the cars

The two houses that flooded here, the one on the left very much so

Erin wades in the street outside the Fwood Jr. High entrance

Now take FM-518 back to League City but stop before I-45

Water pools up outside of Clear Lake Meadows subdivision and we stop to watch the single file line of cars wade through

This is just a low spot in the road, there is no creek nearby

There is a drainage ditch up past The Landing that drains into Clear Creek

But the drainage ditch is five streets further up there

Take a peak inside Clear Creek Meadows Subdivision and find high water

Hope HS classmate Tom's house stays high and dry around the corner

Erin loving her boats with west bound FM-518 behind her

The neighborhood behind ours has drained and the residents are already pulling their carpet and sheetrock out

The drainage ditches between our neighborhoods remain in their banks

The nearest high water to our house is still over a 1000 feet away
